Brooklyn Lace Guild - Brooklyn Lace Guild was honored to be invited to exhibit at the Peniche Lace Festival in Portugal! We learned about lace in Peniche as well as from the other exhibitors across Europe, and saw many wonderful old and new friends. We were proud to showcase some of the innovative work of our members, both in our booth and on the runway. It was our first official lace festival booth, but it certainly won’t be our last! Brooklyn Lace Guild - Project roundup from a very special Tat & Chat last night at the Textile Arts Center! We love welcoming new members and seeing everyone share techniques, stories, and skills together 🩷 Glorimar Garcia brought her mundillo pillow and some beautiful samples by a now 96-year-old lacemaker Maria Lopez. Elena Kanagy-Loux brought some lace cookies from the Peniche Lace Festival, and several members delivered work for a very special upcoming exhibition… more on that soon!

Her method combines historical techniques with contemporary style, taught through the unique framework of reality television and mythology
