International Organization of Lace, Inc. - Mary from MA was spotted working on her Queyras lace in the lobby. She found a book about the lace and had a craftsman make this unique pillow for her from the directions in the book. She was soooo excited to see a class in this lace type taught by Sylvie Nguyen at Convention.

Mary Elizabeth Barron - Doing a Cantu bobbin lace class with Linda Knott, it is fabulous, such an interesting lace with very unique techniques! This is Linda & her work. We are all beginners in this style & doing the piece with the 3 curls photographed on the black background. The piece in progress is my mornings work. Having lunch break now.

Brooklyn Lace Guild - Project roundup from a very special Tat & Chat last night at the Textile Arts Center! We love welcoming new members and seeing everyone share techniques, stories, and skills together 🩷 Glorimar Garcia brought her mundillo pillow and some beautiful samples by a now 96-year-old lacemaker Maria Lopez. Elena Kanagy-Loux brought some lace cookies from the Peniche Lace Festival, and several members delivered work for a very special upcoming exhibition… more on that soon!
